Working out together has its benefits

Working out together has its benefits. Having friends and family around to motivate you and to do exercise routines by your side is always a great thing. That’s why Ashley Marsh had such success in losing weight and gaining a sense of confidence. This Rhode Island mom took one look at her wedding pictures and knew it was time to make a change. So she started documenting what she’d been eating via the My Fitness Pal app in addition to walking one mile a day. As time progressed and she started noticing the weight fall off, she would set another weight loss goal. Her family did a nice job of supporting her through it all. When she reached a milestone, her husband would take her to buy new clothes. And her kids would cheer her on and accompany her on walks. Now, 90 pounds down, there’s nothing she can’t set her mind to do—she’s living proof that if you want to lose weight bad enough, you can!

That’s the mentality Gauge Fitness members should pay attention to. This journey you’re on, you’re not on alone. We have each other to lean on, to go grocery shopping with, to push one another through each AMRAP and more. Commit to your goals and stay consistent. This is a lifestyle change and although reaching your goals doesn’t happen overnight, it will happen. Pay attention to portion control, lean on your Gauge Fitness family for support, and stay focused. Come to boot camp at least 4 times per week or talk to Lawrence about his personal training sessions. You have the power to change your life. Let Gauge Fitness do the rest.

If you’re new to Gauge, make a friend the next time you’re in class. Run the 400 meter next to a buddy. Do partner push-ups with one of our seasoned members.
